Shed Simove is an engaging, humorous writer chronicling his experiences in creativity and innovation – mainly around what the mainstream would regard as ‘tacky’ – for example his realization of his idea for an unsual sweet – ‘clitoris allsorts’.
It’s a good entertaining read.
For the serious student of creativity and innovation it offers a very detailed experience of the knock-backs/blind alleys/lack of encouragement the ‘person-who-has-an-idea’ normally encounters, albeit in the field of novelty gifts.
So, whereas most books on creativity making a passing reference to perseverance here is a whole book recording the typical experience of the creative person.
I am sure we shall see more from Shed.
